The Awareness Show
(Register/Pay $15 below)
You are invited to exhibit your artwork in ‘The Awareness Show’ at Space Gallery, Building 30, at Magnuson Park. This is a two-day pop-up art show on Saturday, November 3rd, and Sunday, the 4th.
Who’s is exhibiting?
We are inviting everyone we know who is artistic and who might be interest in awareness.
What is the purpose of this show?
To enjoy going to an art show about awareness. And to interact with other people interested in awareness.
What is Awareness?
You are free to interpret awareness however you wish.
Art Submission
You can submit any medium of wall artwork. It would be cool if the artwork communicates something about awareness—but even if it doesn’t, your artwork will be accepted anyway. There is no jury process.
However . . . please no digital prints of paintings. Actual printmakers and photographer are welcome to submit.
Cost
We need 15 bucks from each artist to help us pay for the rent of the gallery. Please pay below.
Because of space limitations, no more than 30 artists will be accepted so please submit soon.
Opening Reception
At Space Gallery, 7448 63rd Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98115, Building 30, second floor.
Saturday, November 3, from 6 to 9 pm.
The public is invited.
Eats and beverages will be provided.
Sunday Awareness Discussion
On Sunday, Nov 4, from 3 to 4 pm, in the gallery, All artists are invited, but not required, to attend an open discussion on awareness as it relates to the individual artist, and the art world. The discussion will be facilitated by Patrick Howe.
Awareness Show Promotion
Everyone is encouraged to invite everyone they know to The Awareness Show—like a mega blast of awareness! Invite friends, family and significants. We will also send out info on social media and send out a press release to local news outlets.
Requirements
Every artist must attend the opening reception without exception. (Except for out of state artists).
Only one artwork submission per artist.
The piece must be no larger than 30" x 30", including frame, if the work is framed.
Your name needs to be clearly legible on the back of your art. So we can connect your label information to your art.
Your artwork must be finished, and must have hanging wire on the back. (No work will be hung without a wire on the back). The artwork must be solidly constructed in order to make handling easy and safe.
Every artist promises to meet the critical dates below.
Awareness Statement
Each artist is invited to write a 50 to 150 word statement that addresses what awareness means to you.
Your statement about awareness does not have to relate to your artwork. If it does, that would be especially groovy. If not, that's cool too. It just has to be your interpretation of awareness. We have no expectation of your interpretation. How much is 50 words? This paragraph is 50 words.
Your statement will be displayed attractively in black Helvetica font on white copy paper next to your artwork.
Conditions
Every effort will be made to handle your artwork with the utmost care, however we cannot guarantee that it will not get damaged. You can research and purchase insurance if you wish.
If you pay to exhibit, but are unable to participate in the show, unfortunately your payment will not be refunded.
Wall Label Information
Please email Patrick your label information formatted like this fictitious example:

By Johnny Doe

Sales
If a work of yours is sold, the art must stay on the wall until the show comes down and returned to you. Then you can work out arrangements with the purchaser.
